On Thursday, November 7, the Minister of National Education and the Chinese company CGC signed contracts for the rehabilitation and expansion of Fomboni Public High School on the island of Moh\u00e9li.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ceremony was attended by several local authorities and drew significant participation from the students of the high school. This project is a government initiative funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) as part of the Bandu la Maliz\u00e9 (BLM) project, aimed at improving education quality in a healthy school environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his remarks, Minister of National Education, Bakari M\u2019Fouilane, emphasized that achieving the vision of “Emerging Comoros by 2030” hinges on implementing the Emerging Comoros Plan, a program that places education reform at its core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added, \u201cIn the government\u2019s roadmap, which I am honored to contribute to, the issue of improving education quality in a healthy school environment holds a central position. Hence, the program for rehabilitating and constructing educational institutions across the country, alongside providing diverse training to enhance the capacities of educators and administrative leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister highlighted that the rehabilitation, expansion, and furnishing of Fomboni High School are funded with a budget of \u20ac2,006,418 (approximately 987 million Comorian francs). He also announced that the first phase of the project is set to commence in the coming weeks, stating, \u201cA significant challenge lies ahead: completing this work, which will take 13 months, without disrupting the school\u2019s academic activities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister also expressed gratitude to the Head of State for the trust placed in him, and extended his appreciation to the French Ambassador to Moroni, Mr. Sylvain Riquier, and the French Development Agency (AFD) for their joint efforts under the French-Comorian development framework.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
